Peter Pan

Kennedy went to the Up with Kids summer camp and at the end of the week they put on the play Peter Pan. She was a Pirate!

It was suppose to be held outside at an amphitheater but a huge storm rolled in so we ended up at a church instead.

Very Cute!! Kennedy made a GREAT PIRATE!

Founder's Day 5k

Last Saturday we ran the Pleasant View Founder's Day 5k. It was Travis' first. He did awesome. We ran most of it together until at the last second Travis hurried and sprinted in front of me :( Beating me by 2 seconds! GRRRR . . .He is such a SHOW OFF!! Ha ha, His final time was 27:04 and mine was 27:06. We are running the Cherry Days 5k this Saturday and I am definitely going to by sprinting to the finish line! ;)

Kennedy's 9th Birthday

June 19th was Kennedy's 9th Birthday! I can't believe she is already 9:( The years have flown by so fast seems like just yesterday she was heading off to her first day of preschool.

Anyways, we had a Fun day. I was planning to make her breakfast in bed but she came down stairs when I was preparing it so I had to tell her and then she happily went back to bed.

Then we headed to the North Shore Pool for her friend party.

A few years ago at one of Kennedy's parties her friend taught us this game- Everyone holds their present over her head and then we all sing

" Hangover, hangover, my poor head. What do you wish with a bonk on the head?"

Then the present give bonks her on the head and she guess what is inside. It is always a hit! :)

Then we finished off the day with the family BBQ and Party.

Marathon

So I finished my first Half Marathon on May 16th.

This is at about 5am before the race.

It was really fun but it was also pretty hard. By the last stretch of the race I was totally out of steam. I turned the corner and saw the finish line and it looked SOOOO FAR away. But I made it. . .I finished. . .It felt Great!! My end time was 2:03. We are signing up for The Top of Utah Half in August and then next May we are going to try the full marathon. Right now 26.2 miles sounds like pure torture but hopefully after ALOT of training I will feel a little more confident . . .

Butterflies

So, I have serious butterflies! I am running my first half marathon tomorrow and I am really nervous and really excited too. I had a nightmare the other night that I was running the marathon and it turned into a game show type thing. I had to answer all these questions and do obstacles and I just kept looking at my watch wondering how people finish these so fast. I woke up in a cold sweat! :)

So yesterday I went out looking for a cute outfit to run in :) ( I know it should not matter what I wear but cute clothes just make me Happy) I went to a running shop and tried some things on but they were limited on sizes. The lady that works there told me she was running it in a skirt. I have been looking at these running skirts forever but I wasn't sure they would be comfortable or if they would "ride up". Well, she convinced me. I ended up at my old faithful - Target. They have really cute running outfits by C9 and prices are awesome too. Here is what I got.

Tonight I am getting together with my group of running buddies and going to the marathon Expo and to pick up our race packets. Then we are going to go out to dinner and do some carb loading:) I made everyone a sticker for their car or where ever.

Kennedy's Talent Show

Kennedy sang Taylor Swift's Teardrops on my guitar yesterday at her school's talent show. She way excited and really Cute! I love how she has No fear. She LOVES to be in the limelight. Way to go Kennedy!!
